Do you handle small drywall repairs?
Yes. Small repairs are most of our work: doorknob holes, drywall cracks, nail pops, and the openings left after plumbing or electrical work. If you have several, we can fix them all in one visit. Each spot gets the same five-step process as a full wall, so a small patch won't show either.
Do you install new drywall, or only repair it?
Both. Our name says repair, but we also hang, tape, and finish new drywall for remodels, additions, garages, basements, and new construction, on walls and ceilings. Whether you need one patch or a whole room built, you get the same crew and the same finish.
Will the repair match my existing texture?
Yes. We match orange peel, knockdown, and hand-troweled finishes, then prime and paint so the repaired area blends into the rest of the wall. A patch with the wrong texture is easy to spot, so this is the part of the trade we care about most. It's also the first thing most people ask about.
How do photo estimates work?
Send photos of the damage with your ZIP code through the estimate form. For most repairs you'll have a written estimate and a timeline within one business day, with no site visit needed. Larger jobs and water damage may need an in-person look first.
What does drywall repair cost in Portland?
It depends on the size of the damage, where it is on the wall or ceiling, and the texture we have to match. That's why our estimates are free and written. Send photos and you'll usually have a real price within one business day, before anyone comes to your house.
How long does a drywall repair take?
Most repairs take two or three short visits, because joint compound has to dry between coats. Rushing it is how a repair ends up being done twice. We schedule the visits up front so you know when we'll be there, and we leave the room clean after each one.
Do you repair water-damaged drywall and ceilings?
Yes, once the leak is fixed. We cut out the wet drywall, make sure the space inside the wall or ceiling is dry, hang new board, and refinish it to match the rest of the room. If the leak is still active, we'll tell you to call a plumber first, because a patch over an active leak won't last.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. The Drywall Repair Co. is an Oregon CCB licensed, bonded, and insured contractor, and every repair comes with a written workmanship warranty. The license number is in the footer of every page and on every estimate.
